INTERNATIONAL FASTENER EXPO 2026

106 Taiwanese Exhibitors Vie for Fastener Business Opportunities

The International Fastener Expo (IFE), the largest and most influential trade show in the fastener industry across the Americas, took place October 7–9 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona. The event attracted 520 exhibitors from 25 countries worldwide and around 3,300 visitors from 45 countries, with a total exhibition area of 75,000 sq. f. In addition to hundreds of U.S. fastener manufacturers registering to exhibit, overseas exhibitors (from Taiwan, India, Korea, Brazil, Turkey, Europe, China, and other regions) also organized delegations to participate, hoping to break into the U.S. market and capitalize on rapidly growing business opportunities. This marks the first time the exhibition has moved to Phoenix—the 5th largest city in the U.S.—since it was held in Las Vegas for dozens of consecutive editions. The new exhibition hall and the business opportunities offered by the various industrial clusters surrounding Phoenix have led exhibitors from around the world to have high expectations for this year’s event. They also hope that Phoenix’s recent trend of attracting over 2,000 major international companies in sectors such as IT & electronics, semiconductors, aerospace, defense, biotechnology & healthcare, and logistics and warehousing will help fastener manufacturers expand into more industrial supply chains.

At this year’s IFE, the Taiwan Pavilion—led by the Taiwan Industrial Fasteners Institute (TIFI)—was undoubtedly the highlight of the international pavilions. With strong support and resources from government, industry, and academic partners—including the ITA of Taiwan’s MOEA, the EDB of Kaohsiung City, MIRDC, and Taiwan CSC—Taiwan not only featured the largest delegation in the event’s history but also offered the most extensive program of activities ever at IFE. In addition to the preshow international press conference, the program included the “Taiwan Night” gala dinner, morning coffee break, the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the signing of an MOU between TIFI and NFDA, “Taste of Taiwan,” one-on-one business matchmaking sessions, and an industry forum—all demonstrated the strong willingness of Taiwan’s fastener supply chain and U.S. industrial clients to actively expand multi-stakeholder exchanges and cooperation among industry, government, and academia. Many distinguished guests attending the events noted that Taiwan’s supply chain has been a vital force supporting U.S. industrial needs for decades and will remain irreplaceable in the future. The various activities at the Taiwan Pavilion not only showcased Taiwan’s unceasing innovative capabilities and the development of lower-carbon products and processes but also deepened U.S. companies’ understanding of Taiwan’s leading expertise in fastener technology and services, making them more willing to establish a more diverse network of exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan.

The U.S. imports an average of US$6 billion worth of fasteners annually, with Taiwan accounting for roughly one-third of that total, underscoring Taiwan’s status as the U.S. most important source of fasteners. In addition, in recent years, the construction of U.S. AI data centers and power infrastructure, along with demand for high-value-added industrial fasteners and precision components, the automotive, aerospace, and medical device supply chains, as well as demand from U.S. fastener distributors and local inventory supplies, have driven significant business opportunities in the fastener sector. This has prompted Taiwanese fastener manufacturers—who are actively seeking to establish a presence in the mid-to-high-end markets—to participate enthusiastically in this year’s IFE. Their goal is to further expand their reach among U.S. importers, fastener distributors, and industrial MRO channels, while building a competitive edge through customized product services, quality traceability, fast and flexible delivery times, and stable supply capabilities.

TIFI Chairman Yung-Yu Tsai said,“During this trip, we sensed continued growth in U.S. market demand. The economy is expected to recover next year, and given the consistently strong cooperation between Taiwan and the U.S., this will undoubtedly be a major boost for Taiwan’s fastener industry.”

Deputy Director-General Lin-Liao, Chia-Hong of EDB (Kaohsiung City Government) said,“Arizona has a well-developed high-tech industry. This time, Taiwan has brought the entire industrial chain here, and we hope to strengthen cooperation in the future in areas such as military and defense, as well as medical and biotechnology.”

IFE 2026 not only provided Taiwanese fastener manufacturers with a vital platform to expand into the North American market, but also further demonstrated Taiwanese supply chain’s ambition to deepen international cooperation and target high-value-added markets. As cooperation mechanisms between the Taiwanese and U.S. fastener industries are gradually established, coupled with emerging demand from sectors such as semiconductors, aerospace & defense, and AI, Taiwanese fastener manufacturers are expected to continue expanding cooperation opportunities with U.S. clients through technological upgrades, product innovation, and supply chain integration.

Since the inaugural U.S. IFE, Fastener World has served as the event’s exclusive Taiwanese agent. At this year’s show, with the strong support of TIFI Chairman Yung-Yu Tsai and government agencies, Fastener World successfully organized a series of exciting events at the Taiwan Pavilion. All participants in this grand event agreed that it was a resounding success, noting that it not only boosted orders from U.S. clients but also laid the groundwork for securing even more orders in the future. According to a survey conducted by Fastener World one week after the show, more than 40 companies have expressed interest in returning, and over 50 booths have been reserved.

The next edition will take place at the Phoenix Convention Center from September 30 to October 1, 2027. Businesses interested in expanding into the U.S. market are welcome to contact IFE’s exclusive Taiwan agent, Fastener World for more info (Email: foreign@fastener-world.com.tw).
