Embracing the CBAM Era: Taiwan Seeks Business Opportunities in Fastener Applications in Europe
The biennial Fastener Fair Italy returned to the CityLife-Allianz MiCo on June 24–25 this year, attracting more than 200 exhibitors. This event is not only the most specialized fastener and fastening technology trade show in Southern Europe, but also a major European industry gathering that many leading fastener manufacturers make a point of attending. Serving as a vital platform that brings together manufacturers, distributors, and end users to facilitate industry networking and interaction, the exhibition this year featured products including industrial fasteners and fastening components, construction fasteners, assembly & installation systems, fastener manufacturing technologies, factory equipment, and related accessories. In addition to companies from Italy and other parts of Europe, there was a notable increase in the number of exhibitors from Asia this year.

They aimed to provide the EU market, which prioritizes quality and CBAM carbon reduction, with more competitive products and services from Taiwan, thereby facilitating seamless connections between EU buyers and Taiwan’s high-quality supply chains.
According to on-site reports from Fastener World staff, buyers who visited our booth not only inquired about traditional fastener products but also expressed procurement needs for fasteners used in aerospace applications. Many visiting buyers told Fastener World that they have always had a very favorable impression of the quality of Taiwanese fasteners, and they hope to identify the most suitable sourcing partners and suppliers amid the various challenges currently facing the European and Italian industries such as price, quality, and the impact of AD measures.
During the exhibition, the organizer made a special announcement regarding a major change in the event: The next edition will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, for the first time. By leveraging Prague’s strategic proximity to Germany, Poland, and other key European urban hubs—as well as its position as a central hub for Central Europe’s transportation, automotive, heavy industry, and electronics sectors—the organizer aims to transition the exhibition into a roadshow across different countries, thereby connecting exhibitors with business opportunities for supply chain collaboration across more nations. The next edition of the exhibition will be held again at PVA Expo Prague in Prague, Czech Republic, on April 26–27, 2028.
