China Standard Steel or Copper Fasteners Export Overview from January to July 2011

From January to July, 2011, export value of Chinese standard steel or copper fasteners was US$2.665 billion, increasing 39.6% on a year-over-year basis. The export volume was 1.504 million tonnes, increasing 20.8% on a year-over-year basis. The average export price was US$1,771.5/ tonne, increasing 15.6% on a year-over-year basis.                                           According to the export value, the U.S., Russia, and Japan were the main export markets of Chinese standard steel or copper fasteners. From Jan. to July 2011, the export value from China to the U.S. was US$474 million, increasing 38.1% on a year-over-year basis; the export value to Russia was US$198 million, increasing 81.7% on a year-over-year basis; the export value to Japan was US$172 million, increasing 22.3% on a year-over-year basis. From Jan. to July 2011, the U.S. market accounted for 17.8% of the overall market, essentially flat over the same period in 2010; the Russian market increased from 5.7% to 7.4%; the Japanese market decreased from 7.4% to 6.5%. The total export value of the top 10 export markets was US$1.389 billion, accounting for 52.1% export value of all Chinese standard steel or copper standard fasteners from Jan. to July.
