Auto Parts MRO Market of Brazil Looks Prosperous

According to the statistics of the Brazilian Association of Autoparts Manufacturers (Sindipecas), it was due to the economic growth and income increase that the number of the licensed vehicles in Brazil amounted to 34.856 million units in 2011, up 7% compared to 2010 while the import value of auto parts was USD15.7774 billion, up 19.98% from the USD13.14935 billion in 2010. In addition, 80% of the customers go to the automotive aftermarket repair service; therefore, the parts MRO market is prosperous and with great business opportunities. Yet, Brazil still should pay attention to the business competitions from China, Thailand and South Korea. In 2011, the auto parts import value of Brazil from China, Thailand and South Korea was USD1.24862 billion (up 61.55%), USD821.63 million (45.47%) and USD680.34 million (up 79.16%) respectively.
