The 42th edition of Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions announced the award winners on April 5, 2014. Assistant Professor Xian Chi Wu of the Department of Industrial Design of Far East University invented the “Replaceable Expansion Anchor,” which can be removed easily and inserted with a new one with certain tools, in order to solve the problem of being unable to remove the traditional anchors once they are hammered into the wall. He has been presented with one Special Honor Award and one Gold Medal.
