U.S. Fastener Trade in H1 2014 Shows Dual Growth
In the first half of 2014, the fastener trade of the U.S. showed stable growth. The value of its iron and steel fastener export in the period reached US$1.9 billion (up 6.4% over the corresponding period). The contribution from Q1 to the resulted value had the largest share (up 5.5% over the corresponding period). As for the value of its fastener import, it grew 6.9% over the corresponding period (in Q1 the import grew 7.25%). The value of U.S. fastener export in 2013 reached US$3.6 billion (up 9.1% over the corresponding period) and the value of fastener import reached US$4.49 billion (down 2.2% over the corresponding period).
