TFTA Chairman Chen: Industry Performance in 2015 Can Be Optimistic
Chairman Bill Chen of Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (TFTA) holds an optimistic but serious attitude toward the performance in 2015. He thinks that certain European countries influenced by the European debt crisis are very likely to recover from the lowest bottom. He also encourages fastener companies to promote their competitiveness and avoid involvement in low-price competition.
Since the establishment of TFTA, the Association hasn’t had a permanent office. Chairman Bill Chen says that there may be good news regarding the office in 2015 and the office is likely to be located near Tainan Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail. He adds that Tainan City Government is planning to build a large convention and exhibition center near Tainan Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail, as a result, he will plan to find a location as the permanent office of TFTA near the convention & exhibition center for giving member assemblies and training programs. He says that TFTA members always feel homeless even though there is actually a temporary office for TFTA, so he will try to find a “permanent home” for the sustainability of TFTA within his tenure.
Chen also says that TFTA will participate in several int’l events in 2015 such as National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo and Fastener Fair Stuttgart, which can be opportunities for the young members of TFTA to attend global events and learn from their industry peers from other countries.
