On May 14th 2015 U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) announced the final determination on the dumping and subsidies investigations on certain steel nails originating in Taiwan. In the part of subsidies, the DoC has the same view as it made in the preliminary determination, which rules that Taiwan does not subsidize on these products. In the part of dumping, the DoC also determines that Taiwanese Kosunail is not involved in dumping and Pro-Team Coil Nail should be subject to a duty of 2.24%. The duties for Taiwanese companies are the lowest in comparison with the duties for companies in other countries including Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, and Oman). U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) will make the final determination on June 27th.
