Moreover, it produces components in partnership with Ford, Audi, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Yamaha.
Taking the Lead from the Start with Good “Management”
Stepping into Hsiung Jen’s plant, one will see that the 16-year-old building still looks clean and new with well-organized traffic flow, latest equipment, and stable quality performance! General manager Allen Chen said, “The industry’s product technique has reached maturity. Today is the era when we improve competitiveness with ‘management’ and outrun opponents.”
Hsiung Jen made a lot of efforts to become a first class stamped parts supplier. “We implement all-in-one production line ranging from mold design to packaging and shipping. Like major European makers, we utilizes multi-stroke stamping and forming equipment to conduct continuous production with high manufacturing stability (Ppk value above 1.67). We do not outsource coating, heat treatment and other procedures to other companies,” said Chen.
Ever since the inception, the company has been growing stably and recognized by the market. So far it has around 1,600 kinds of molds ready for immediate production for U clips, bands, hose clamps, and interior panel clips, etc. These products are compliant with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949 standards. The company uses optical sorting for inspecting sizes of important products to satisfy the demand of the automotive supply chain for small lot, diversity and 0PPM requirement.
To Gain Ford’s Q1 Supplier Certificate
Hsiung Jen has been competing in the European market with its strong clamps and clips for many years. Now it is a qualified Tier 1 component maker certified by automotive makers, and it stresses on creating first-hand advantage by using patent rights as well as protecting clients’ rights. Chen recognizes with the European’s stringent requirement on product quality, document content and contract, and this mindset builds a steady and strong competitiveness for the company in the long term.
Looking ahead, Hsiung Jen continues to set Taiwan as the center of its manufacturing and integrates with its 2 major sales routes of its Malaysia branch and China branch, exporting excellent products of 0.1mm~3.0mm in width. On top of that, Hsiung Jen is planning the investment in the third plant for the headquarters in Taiwan. It will increase its sales base and cooperate with the international community, and plans to acquire Ford’s Q1 supplier certificate in 2017.
