Teks Introduces Elite Self-Drilling Screws for Faster Metal-to-Metal Installation

Teks®, a leading brand in metal fastening solutions, has launched Teks Elite Metal-to-Metal Screws, a premium line of self-drilling fasteners developed for electrical, HVAC, metal framing and general construction professionals. The new screws are designed to improve installation speed, driving control and connection quality without the need for pre-drilling.
The fasteners feature Teks’ proprietary Lightning Point™ tip, which starts up to 20% faster in metal and helps prevent the screw from walking across metal surfaces. A T-20 star drive with StikFit™ technology enhances bit-to-screw engagement, reducing wobble and dropped screws during installation. Meanwhile, the low-profile washer head provides a semi-flush finish while increasing clamping force for secure metal-to-metal connections.
Kim Cortes, Sr. Product Manager for Teks, said the Elite line was developed to address common challenges encountered during metal-to-metal installation, helping crews achieve greater speed and consistency.
Applications include electrical accessories, ductwork, strut and metal framing. Teks Elite complements rather than replaces the company’s Original Metal-to-Metal Screws, giving contractors a choice between everyday performance and premium speed and control. The new fasteners are available in multiple sizes and pack configurations through major retailers and building material suppliers across the U.S.
